Distribution

we have looked into different companies to advertise/distribute our film one of them is Film4 production company, Film4 would be a good company for the film as they produce and show lots of films which are either popular or new and and they would advertise it through their website and adverts.
Film4 have a number of award winning films, slowly moving them up in the list of successful companies.

We have thought to use social networking advertisements to distribute and market, as it will be advertised to people over the world so people who don’t normally watch teen dramas will possibly be interested. we will also market through Facebook and Twitter using banner ads and magazines such as Empire. Also we will market through the cast going on chat shows such as Jonathan Ross and Graham Norton, also programmes such as Daybreak, as well as radio chat show such as The Breakfast Show. This will get the DVD out there and will be advertised to many audiences.

the soundtracks we use could provide a higher interest from audiences. Like Plan B in Ill Manors who released an album whic was set as the sountrack for the entire film.

Production Company

For the production company(ies) of our film I researched which companies produced films that we based our film on. Adulthood, Kidulthood and Ill Manors were produced by Revolver Entertainment. I think this is a good company to use as the films the produce have been successful and made a large box office profit.

revolver is a successful British film company with pioneering distribution and releases. In the past 10 years Revolver's independent spirit and flair has been awarded with 18 of the industry's top awards for marketing excellence.

Use of soundtrack

For the first track in the film we used one that started slow to build up into Karl's introduction. The song was a dupstep remix of the prodigy's song 'breathe'. It was a song with an urban type feel.

The second tune was an; instrumental of a remix of the prodigy's remix of plan B's ill manors. We felt that plan B's ill manors was the right song for our running scene as it created suspense then after we made a pause for Lewis's line 'get him', the drop and beat after that was appropriate for the chase scene(s).
For the last track we felt we needed a fast paced dub step sounding track and we found Hostiles - recognition (teaser) on a mixtape website. we felt it was a good  build up towards the end scene (fight scene) .

Music/soundtrack

Music is a vital part in our film, for suspense, action and the drama. We used the best music we thought appropriate for our film. After a lot of trialling and testing we found the songs we found suited the film correctly.

At first we were going to use one track throughout the film, which was a track we created ourselves. Then we tried different songs all the way through. In the end we decided to three songs in the film to change the speed and mood of each scene. each song apart from Hostile's dubstep track at the end is a remix.

first track   -  The prodigy - Breathe
second track: -  Plan B    - Ill manors
third track: Hostile  - recognition (teaser)
